She is also a qualified Individual, Couple and Family Therapist who is committed to guiding individuals and couples towards positive psychological well-being.

Alexis has expertise in working with clients from infancy to old age to find better outcomes, having gained practice wisdom grounded in excellent knowledge of psychological development across the life span.

Alexis has specialist knowledge in understanding child development and assessing a child's needs, recognising that early in life relationships are emotionally important for all family members and the theories of attachment, systems theory, and neuroscience provide caring ideas and fresh insights into the roller coaster emotional world of children. Alexis specialisation is family-centred care - an approach that builds on the strengths of the family and develops capacity for healthy social, emotional and intellectual development

She taught Psychodynamic Therapy and Attachment-informed Therapy at Monash University and is a Teacher Associate at Melbourne University.
